YEP. As a matter of fact, that actually will often reduce the price of the work! The prices of my saw artwork includes the price of the saw so if you bring me your own saw you only pay for the time and supplies I use to make the art!

This is a bit of a tough question. There are few varying factors that affect the price of each piece.

1. I buy my saws from regular people around the Treasure Valley and those prices can vary. 

2. Different sized saws.

3. The level of detail of each piece.

All of these factors make small adjustments on my prices but a general rule that I try to stick to is this:

The larger the saw, the higher the price.

All shipping costs will be added to the price of the saw, I will try and give you estimates of shipping costs when you request a quote but I won't officially know until they are sent off.

I paint on the saws using basic acrylic paints. I then coat each saw with a thin layer of polyurethane to help protect them. 

 

I very rarely try and make a shiny blade rusty, it's a lot of work and time and often has mixed results. I prefer to find my saws rusty as can be when I purchase them. Rusty saws are better for painting on!

Rusty saws are much, much, much, MUCH easier to paint on than shiny new blades. This is because shiny new metal has very little tooth, or is very smooth, and acrylic paint has a hard time adhering to very smooth surfaces. Rusty saws however are pitted at a very small scale which makes it a great surface for acrylic paint to adhere to.
